Last big weekend, the reserve hosted a three-day “Thaw” tour, which was timed to coincide with the most popular March holiday, and gave each of its participants, both adults and children, a joyful atmosphere and a feeling of the approaching spring. Despite the light frost at night and in the morning, our guests were able to see with their own eyes the awakening of nature after winter.
International Women's Day, March 8, was the opening day of the tour. The atmosphere of the festive dinner was created from the very first minutes of the evening by the creative team of the Lepel Regional Palace of Culture.
The actors of the experimental folk theater of miniatures "Balagan", balancing on the verge of sentimental tenderness and fervent laughter, warmly congratulated all women on International Women's Day, wishing them health, beauty and love.
The highlight of the evening was the virtuoso and spirited performance of professional dulcimer player Anna Sharkovskaya, a participant in international competitions. She performs modern hits played on an ancient stringed percussion instrument.
Delicious dishes, festive photo zones, an entertainment program, cheerful company and a relaxed atmosphere in the restaurant of the “Serguch” hotel complex completed this wonderful holiday.
Starting from the second day of the tour, an intense excursion program awaited guests. Traditionally, it began with the Museum of Nature, where visitors became acquainted with the nature of the Berezinsky Reserve and its history, from the first expedition of scientists to the reserve to the present days. After a hearty lunch, tour participants went on an exclusive walking tour along the Primrose Trail.
Escaped from the bustle of the city, guests walked through the forest, enjoying unity with nature. There was almost no snow left, but it was quite cool. The primroses were in no hurry to bloom, but we still managed to find some along the ecological trail. The green leaves of the European hoof grass looked very unusual with a thin ice covering small puddles and raised bogs.
The immersion in the nature of the protected area was complemented by watching documentaries and feature films produced by the national studio "Belarusfilm". The evening of the second day was also accompanied by the sounds of music. The duet of Tatiana Bogutskaya and Tatiana Bogovets, members of the ensemble “Chance”, winners of many international awards, created an atmosphere of lightness and tenderness, which is often so lacking in life overloaded with bothers.
The third day of the tour turned out to be quite frosty, but this did not stop the guests from getting to know the inhabitants of the Forest Zoo and the Pet Zoo.
The final highlight of the tour was a master class on the art of origami. Our guests made a traditional Japanese symbol of happiness − a paper crane − with their own hands.
Obviously, themed and holiday tours in the reserve are one of the best ways to spend your weekend. Even if your rest days are not Saturday and Sunday, there are many tours and excursions that take place all year round and on any day, both weekdays and weekends. We’ll be very glad to see you!
