The 17th issue of the annual collection of scientific articles “Specially Protected Natural Territories of Belarus. Research". It presents the results of scientific research conducted in specially protected natural areas (SPNA) of the Republic of Belarus on various aspects of environmental issues.
The articles highlight the analysis and results of scientific research on the inventory of flora and fauna on the territory of the Berezinsky biosphere and Polessky radiation-ecological reserves, the national parks "Belovezhskaya Pushcha", "Braslav Lakes", "Pripyatsky", "Narochansky", wetland, biological, hydrological and landscape wildlife sanctuaries of republican and local significance, natural monuments.
Reviews of stock materials on the fauna of vertebrates and invertebrates are given, an evaluation of the state of natural and plant complexes is made, a taxonomic and geographical analysis of some plant and animal species, the results of field research of protected areas, studies of the biological productivity of forest ecosystems and the dynamics of the radial growth of trees, monitoring of protected plant species and animals, identification of invasive species and threats to biodiversity values. Lists of entomofauna, specially protected geological objects, data on species diversity, age and sex structure and population dynamics are given, new species of insects and myxomycetes are described, information is provided on new locations of protected species. The features of ecological education and agro-tourism in protected areas are considered.
The authors of the articles presented in the book are scientists of the Berezinsky Reserve and other state environmental and research institutions of Belarus, including the State Scientific-Production Association "Scientific Practical Center of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus for Bioresources", the State Scientific Institution "Institute of Experimental Botany of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus named after. V. Kuprevich”, Educational Establishment “Belarusian State University”, Educational Establishment “Baranovichi State University”, etc.
The collection, published for scientists, specialists of state environmental institutions, teachers and students of higher educational establishments, has been published by the Belarusian Press House since 2006. Since 2016, this serial edition of scientific publications has been assigned a special ISSN (International Standard Serials Number).
